With more than four decades of experience in commercial, international, investment and development banking, he has held senior management and corporate governance positions in financial institutions and public and private organizations.
He chairs LATAM Emerging Market Investment Fund SPC Ltd., an investment fund established in the British Virgin Islands. His career includes Citibank and Bank of America, and leadership roles in the Ecuadorian financial system.
He is a graduate of Escuela Agrícola Panamericana — Zamorano (Honduras) and the University of Florida, where he earned a B.S. in Agricultural Economics and a master’s degree in Applied Economics.
His current work focuses on capital markets, investment, digital banking, financial innovation and artificial intelligence. As founder and author of El Economista Digital, he turns economic and financial analysis into a practical tool, with an independent, forward-looking perspective.
